Why Not? We often ask ourselves that question. It often leads to unexpected decisions. And so here we are, surprisingly, in Tasmania, continuing our quest to live a life without regret.

grey
Think the weather is beginning to turn, more grey, drizzly weather. Even had to use the heater a couple of times this week...

walking in the rain
Johanna has a short walk to college, through a beautiful park. This morning it was raining...

road race
Watched my nephew race from Longford to Campbell Town (58 km) this afternoon. He finished second in his division.
A little countryside appreciation along the way as we stopped at various points to watch the riders progress.
A late lunch in Campbell Town by the historic bridge,
And we couldn't resist. Big kids (Johanna and Hayden),
And even bigger kids (my sister and I)

lilly
A dreary, grey and drizzly day yesterday. The flowers Colin bought for me on the weekend were in full bloom.

what mothers do
Wanted to try once more to capture something of the bond between mother and baby, figured I could improve on yesterday's effort. And it was a good excuse to spend a lot of time watching monkeys, feel a bit like a stalker...
what mothers do:
they feed you
they carry you
they keep you safe
they hold you
they hug you
they make you feel special
they watch you like a hawk
they encourage you to be independent
they are a role model
they adore you
And at the end of the day they rest with you
